Nunsense

An outrageously funny musical comedy that will have you laughing all the way to confession!

The story begins with a minor culinary disaster at the convent: Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of her fellow sisters with a bad batch of vichyssoise soup. While the surviving nuns managed to cover the burial costs for most of the deceased, a sudden cash shortage has left them with four dearly departed sisters temporarily on ice in the convent freezer.

To raise the remaining funds before the health inspector discovers their predicament, the five surviving sisters decide to stage a high-energy, chaotic variety show fundraiser in the Mount Saint Helen’s School auditorium. Because the stage is already set up for the school’s upcoming production of Grease, the sisters have to work around pom-poms and leather jackets to pull off their act. What follows is a night of unexpected talents, unholy mishaps, and endless laughs.

Meet the Sisters:

  • Reverend Mother Sister Mary Regina: A former circus performer who tries desperately to maintain strict order, but can’t resist stealing the spotlight.
  • Sister Mary Hubert: The Mistress of Novices and second-in-command, who keeps a sharp eye on the treasury and the Mother Superior.
  • Sister Robert Anne: A streetwise, tough-talking nun from Brooklyn who is just dying to sing a show-stopping solo.
  • Sister Mary Amnesia: A delightfully scatterbrained sister who completely lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
  • Sister Mary Leo: A sweet, enthusiastic novice who is determined to become the world’s very first nun ballerina.

Featuring catchy tunes, tap-dancing, a hilarious audience quiz, and a heavy dose of irreverent but warm-hearted comedy, Nunsense is a spectacular night of pure theatrical fun.

Sinfully funny and habit-forming—don’t miss out!
